Auntie Mame is my most favorite film character ever—-both from this movie and the musical. As a person, she was just wonderful to experience in screen!
And, though I love both the musical and this one, I’m going through a tremendous Roz Russell faze right now, so I’d say this is my absolute # 1 favorite movie!! ♥

True greatness coming out of Hollywood!
Who says real greatness doesn’t come out of Hollywood? Actress Grace Kelly became a princess, actor Ronald Reagan became president, and the woman who was deemed “the next Grace Kelly”, the woman who gave ELVIS PRESLEY his first on-screen kiss…well…
she became a nun!! Dolores Hart!
Wow!!

Gidget (1959)
Gidgetis such a dreamy movie! Makes me want to be one with the beach-waves! But, on another note, what were the movie-makers thinking with many of those other “surfing” genre films? Didn’t they realize what a crime it was to film them in anything but widescreen?! Pan-and-scan/1:33:1 aspect-ratio just does not do that beautiful scenery justice!!

What Ever Happened to Aunt Alice? (1969)
What Ever Happened to Aunt Alice?was a psycho-good movie from 1969! Glad I watched it today! I hate the gory, blatantly violent horror films of the past 20-25 years (won’t even bother with them). But, by 1960s-70s standards, I’m an occasional fan.

Word of warning...
Try never to say or do anything that you wouldn’t want as part of a tell-all bio someday.

Why I like Biographies
Different worlds exist within different people, because every person experiences the world in different ways. That’s why so much can be learned, by learning from each-other. That’s why I like biographies. : - )
